Some exciting news from Professional Assured

To mark our 25th anniversary, Professional Assured has decided to partner with Alzheimer’s Research UK for the year to try and help find a cure for dementia.

We have supported a number of great causes over the years and started looking into how we could make a difference with an illness whose impact is very close to our hearts and those of our clients

Our goal – 25 for TWENTY-FIVE

We are proud to be supporting Alzheimer’s Research UK.
We have set ourselves a bold target: to raise as much money as possible over the year, with a minimum of £25,000 by March 2026.

This money will help the UK’s leading dementia research charity.

Alzheimer’s Research UK is dedicated to finding a cure by revolutionising the way we diagnose, treat, and prevent dementia. Their mission is simple but powerful – they exist for a cure, and we are honoured to stand with them. Every donation brings us one step closer to a world free from the heartbreak of dementia.

What are we doing?
To meet our target the team will be attempting different challenges throughout the year.
Jane recently took part in RIDE SUFFOLK SUNRISE, covering over 60KM and finishing a respectable 13th place in her category. Well done Jane. All for a great cause.

Our Associate Adviser Shalman and his colleagues, Arron and Joe have just completed the National Three Peaks Challenge (Saturday 14th & Sunday 15th June).

This gruelling event involves climbing the three highest peaks of Scotland, England and Wales.

Ben Nevis stands at 4,413 feet, Scafell Pike at 3,210 feet and Snowdon at 3,560 feet.

In total, between them, the boys covered an altitude change (both up and down) of over 60,000 feet and they managed to get their daily steps in, with a combined total of over 200,000!
Ben Nevis was tough, with steep zig zag inclines, Scafell Pike was very misty and wet, whilst the Snowdon leg started in the dark, commencing at 2.35am.

What else are we up to?
Ralph will be running a half marathon later in the year. We are also taking part in several events to coincide with Worlds Alzheimer’s Month in September, including a five a side football tournament. There are even rumours that Mike will be dusting down his Bianchi, to get out there on the New Forest Tour. And Sarah, our head of administration will be using her creative skills to craft an item a day for one month during the winter, selling the items to raise funds for the charity pot. Watch this space for more details on our upcoming events and further challenges to meet our goal and beyond by March 2026.
